I’ve been on a styled shoot roll lately!
Several months back, I did a small scale styled shoot with some friends at Ft. Monroe. In the process of finding vendors for that shoot, I became friends with Sam of Songbird Floral Studio and while it didn’t work out for us to collaborate then, we planned to work together soon! Then, as I was looking for models for my Norfolk Botanical Gardens shoot, I met Mingying. I knew I had to get this beauty (and her Vera Wang gown!) in front of my lens! Thus, the idea for this shoot was born.
I wanted a fall shoot, and with daylight savings time bringing sunset so early, and busy weekends and 9-5 jobs in the way, we decided on a sunrise session at Regent University. It was an early wake up call (hair and makeup started at 4:50AM!) but so worth it for these stunning images.

Sam, thank you for carving out time in the midst of an insane week to make this beautiful blush and gold bouquet. Nessa, thank you for being willing to get up crazy early and being my go-to hair and makeup wizard. Mingying, thank you for getting back in your gorgeous dress and toughing through the cold and to play a bride again! I am so grateful for all you all did to make this shoot beautiful!
