Meet Katie and Ryan!

These two are dear friends. And, if we become friends, and I get a glimpse of your wedding album and find out that holy cow- you have an amazing, beautiful wedding dress- well then you never know, one day you may end up my models running through fields chasing the sunset with me for some epic photos. And that’s exactly what happened here. I mean, just wait until you see the back of Katie’s dress!

This idea came together with the help of two sweet friendors (friend-vendors)- Sara from Makeup by SAC and Kamesha from AvaLoren Designs. Sara spent the afternoon doing Katie’s flawless makeup and hair and Kamesha graciously put together a gorgeous bouquet and boutineer to complete the look. It’s so fun to have such talented friends to collaborate with! Thank you both 100X over! You’re the best!

Katie and Ryan just celebrated their one year anniversary so it wasn’t too hard to convince them to put on the wedding dress and suit again and adventure with me for an evening. We climbed trees (per Katie’s request), kicked off our shoes and walked around barefoot, and chased the sun as it disappeared quickly. The last few shots on the beach were taken just after the sun set when it was pretty much dark (thank goodness for awesome lenses, ISO, and Lightroom on the tail end!). When we got back to their house after, we had to throw in just a few more shots of them dancing under their patio lights at their new (and first!) home. All in all, it was such a special day.
