Meet Katy!
She’s basically a real-life princess (think: beautiful, quick to laugh and hug, kind, graceful, oh, and she’s an amazing singer and professional dancer!). Photographing her at Maymont felt so fitting. Her gorgeous gown, delicate veil, and tiara (it’s her mother’s, from when she used to compete in pageants!) all completed her perfect princess look. I was practically giddy with how the setting tied it all together!
Bridal sessions are so much fun for me. I loved meeting up with Katy so close to her big day and spending time with her and her mom. It’s just a wonderful way to get used to the camera, and have a little extra time in the dress of your dreams. This was actually my first time photographing at Maymont and I will for sure be back because every little corner held so much magic, making it the perfect setting for these images. We spent the majority of our time in the Italian gardens, which felt fitting- Katy and Andrew actually met at an Italian restaurant, and Andrew’s family is Italian!
All in all it was a perfect summer evening with the perfect glowy light for us to play in. Enjoy my favorites from this beautiful summer bridal session!
