Meet Paige and Connor!
Last weekend was epic. Saturday I drove to Glenthorne Farms, a beautiful historic house and farm just past Charlottesville with mountain views, hops fields, and a hidden waterfall. This farm is run and co-owned by Connor’s aunt and uncle, and is just one of those places that feels like a retreat from the world. Naturally, it’s become super special to these two, so they chose to spend their last day of engagement there: the perfect summer day kicked off with their engagement session and wrapped up with their rehearsal dinner/picnic. We toured the grounds taking in sweeping views, soaking in the sunshine, and reveling in their last day before they said “I do.”
I’ve known Connor since we were kids. He and his family moved away when we were still in elementary school, but our families have kept in touch and our parents still vacation together. They are the most special family, and it felt like such a beautiful honor to be apart of this family-filled day for them.
The day before your wedding day is often a stresser: trying to check all the last-minute things off while working through nerves…not for these two! They were so in-the-moment; just happy to be together in their favorite place with their favorite people. Their families rallied around them to make this special day as sweet and special as could be, and it felt truly joyful and peaceful. To be with Paige and Connor at this place that means so much to them, to capture a little bit of their love story, and then to celebrate with them as a guest at their rehearsal picnic was such a treat.
Enjoy my favorites from this mountainside last-day-of-engagement session!
