Meet Lili and Isaiah!
Lili and Isaiah just recently got married, and are about to begin their first year of marriage adventures together in Alaska, as Isaiah’s first law position is there for a year. But back in the spring, as the cherry blossoms had just begun to bloom, on the day of his law school’s Barrister Ball, they met me on Regent University’s gorgeous campus for a celebratory moment together of capturing their engagement portraits.
We wandered the campus library, law building and grounds together as I heard their love story and their dreams for the future. As they danced through the halls and snuggled close in the open air, I couldn’t help but be struck by their giddy joy just to be in each other’s arms. To be with them on that day, in that special season of waiting for marriage, was to feel their excitement for all that is and was to come. I admire couples that can walk the line of living in the present while looking to the future; waiting on marriage with expectation, but not wishing away the preciousness of, and finding joy in, their current season. Lili and Isaiah did that well.
