Meet Ruby & Chris!
There is something so exciting and precious to me about capturing the season of waiting that is pregnancy. There’s a sense of anticipation that rings in the air around a couple as they hold the bump that will one day be a baby in their arms. To spend an evening in the sunshine of Fort Monroe with Ruby and Chris as they awaited their little girl filled me up for daysss, I was truly grinning ear-to-ear as I edited these photos in the days after!
As we walked the sunny streets and beach of Fort Monroe they shared more of their story with me, and their excitement in becoming parents. Something about these two made their love so easy to capture! It is clear that their love is tender. It bears each other’s burdens with joy. It holds on tightly and does not let go. All that and more shines through in these images. They have walked some very tough roads in the last few years, and I know it has only brought them closer and prepared them for this sweet season of parenthood in all its joys and challenges.
At this point, sweet baby Millie has been in their arms since April, and I know they have cherished every moment with her as they became a family of three. Congratulations Ruby and Chris!
