Meet Laura and Michael!
They met in college when they were set up on a blind date by their friends. Michael said the original plan was to go to a basketball game, and, if the date was going well, move on to Mellow Mushroom. I guess it went well and they got their pizza because a few years later they had reworked their schedules to graduate together and get married. They braved grad school together, had their first baby, moved to Virginia the day they found out they were pregnant with their second, and after a little hiatus in baby-making, are now eagerly expecting their third boy, Noah.
When they moved to Virginia, they wound up at the church I grew up at and my parents still go to in Yorktown and quickly became family friends. Laura made my wedding cake, and they’ve been present for some precious family moments over the years. It was extra special to have one-on-one time with them on Monday to hear more of their story, get to know them better and capture this sweet season for them.
Virginia gave us a little teaser of spring (complete with some cherry blossoms!) and we ran with it! It honestly could not have been a more perfect day to walk around CNU’s gorgeous campus together and bask in the sunshine.
