Meet Laura and Jackson!
These two are sweet friends of ours from church. We met them when they’d just been married a few short months, and now they’re coming up on 1.5 years of marriage! Where has the time gone? It was extra special to do this shoot for them because they never got to do engagement photos together, so their only professional couples photos are from their wedding day. They met me at my favorite little Each Beach neighborhood just after sunrise for some beautiful photos of just them- and now they have these timeless photos to remember their first year of marriage by!
I asked them during the shoot to take a little time to reflect on the adventures of their first year of marriage and how they’ve learned and grown. Guys, these two are impressive. In their first year of marriage they bought a historic home, gutted it down to the studs, and rebuilt it from scratch- just them and a family friend! It’s been an impressive journey to follow along with, and one that they admitted has taught them so much in terms of communicating and caring for each other. It was precious to see them interact during this shoot- wholeheartedly embracing all my fun and silly prompts and tenderly loving on each other in between. Laura and Jackson, marriage looks good on you 🙂
