Meet Kristen and Chris!
Remember when I did a session giveaway back in January? Well the whole time I was secretly hoping these two would win and when the random number generator agreed with me (I promise I didn’t rig it!) I squealed!
Kristen is my dear, dear friend from college- we lived on the same floor for 2+ years and shared many late nights laughing till our sides hurt, watching classic Disney movies and having the best heart-to-hearts together. She and Chris have been dating for what feels like forever now and so it was such a blast to finally get to capture their goofy/sweet/practically-married selves!
Shooting in DC during the cherry blossom festival is one of those photographer bucket-list items I’ve been wanting to cross off forever so I was thrilled when Kristen suggested it! We planned an early morning session on a Sunday and crossed our fingers that it wouldn’t be crazy crowded. Thankfully a few showers and lots of storm clouds and high winds (which made for great hair-blowing-in-the-wind shots) kept the crowds at bay and we rolled with it and toured most of downtown all in one morning. We started at the Tidal Basin and wrapped up at the Capitol and it was such a blast third-wheeling with these two and getting to showcase their love!
