Meet Kailey and Alan!
This session is a fun story! Kailey reached out to me a few months back just after she and Alan got engaged and asked to book an engagement session for mid November. We got it on the calendar and then a few weeks later it came up in my timeline that they had slipped away to VA Beach and done a weekday courthouse elopement! So, when this shoot rolled around, we made it a mashup- half engagement session vibes (fall clothes on the Noland Trail) and half wedding vibes (they put on the outfits they got married in and we went down to watch the sunset at the Lion’s Bridge). It was so unique and fun! While we were walking to the bridge and Kailey was wearing her wedding dress, a little girl walking by sweetly called out to Kailey, “I love your dress!” and my heart just melted- every bride deserves that moment no matter how big or small her wedding day is!
I actually grew up with Kailey- we went to the same church as kids so it was so fun to see her again, catch up, and meet Alan! Together these two are just too fun. They laugh easily, don’t take themselves too seriously, and are just easy to be with. Alan’s goofy side came out quickly with my fun prompts and we had a great time talking pool (they’re part of a team and compete on the weekends together!), The Office, and Sandals Jamaica (where we honeymooned and they are too!).
