Emily & Stephen | Virginia Beach National Golf Club Wedding | Virginia Beach Wedding Photographer

Meet Mr. and Mrs. Privett!

What a beautiful day. The sun was shining, it was a gorgeous 60 degrees at the end of November, and the rose bushes around their ceremony location were all in bloom! Emily and Stephen’s day was affected by COVID just like every other 2020 couple, but they took it in stride and didn’t let their smaller gathering dull their joy.  In fact, keeping it smaller allowed for the day to unfold naturally, leaving space for them to spend time with each guest, get all the photos their hearts desired, and even play the Newlywed Game with their parents mid-reception. It felt like them, and I loved every minute!

This wedding was a sweet reunion for me. Stephen’s older sister Ashley was one of my best friends in high school and I spent a lot of time at their house growing up. I’ve photographed each member of their family’s senior portraits, their family photos, and now the first family wedding! I’m so grateful for families like theirs, that have stuck with me through my photography career, and for the chance to capture such precious celebrations for them through the years. The glow up since Stephen’s senior portraits is real- we shot them on top of a parking garage with his Batarangs in hand! I think this look- suit, tie, and bride in hand is much better 🙂

Enjoy some highlights from Emily & Stephen’s bride and groom portraits on this beautiful fall day at Virginia Beach National Golf Club.  Full wedding blog post coming soon!

Love,
Sarah
