Meet my nephew, Gideon!
This little love bug was born June 13th at 8lbs 6oz, and is absolutely precious. Since day 1 our whole family has been enamored by this little guy- seriously, you should see our family group text! He has been the highlight of our last few weeks. This past weekend, Alvin and I finally got to go up and meet him. We celebrated Alvin and Josh’s first Father’s Days together, and Abby’s 24th birthday on Sunday! Then this guy got his first (of many!) Aunt Sarah photoshoots. He didn’t seem to mind being the star 🙂
In lots of ways, it all feels surreal. How is my little sister old enough to be a mother? But at the same time it feels just right- like a role she’s been fitted for perfectly- and the welcoming of a season of life we’ve both looked forward to since we were little girls carrying around baby dolls and changing our little brother’s diaper. How absolutely precious to share this season of joy, newness, and anticipation together. I cannot wait for our two babies to grow up together! But at the same time, let’s keep them this small forever!
Congratulations Abby and Josh, he’s perfect! You two are doing amazing, and it is so sweet to cheer you on in this journey. Enjoy my favorites from this precious in-home and backyard newborn session.
