Meet Caitlin & Ryan!

These two have been dating for 5 years! They met after college at a Virginia Museum of Fine Arts happy hour, where Ryan forgot to get her number after they talked for a while. Thankfully, he had a second chance and a few weeks later they ran into each other again- this time he didn’t let her get away without getting those digits! They’ve been together pretty much ever since and last fall he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him at the same museum where they first met! She said yes of course, and now they’re eagerly awaiting their 2021 wedding!

Since Richmond is such a large part of their love story, and where they live now, they wanted their engagement photos to capture the scope of the city. I was so excited when they suggested Libby Hill Park, because it’s one of those places I’ve always wanted to shoot, but have never gotten to until their shoot! Thankfully the storms held off, and we were able to spend the perfect, not-too-hot evening taking in these skyline views. Totally worth the drive!

I cannot wait for Caitlin and Ryan’s Two Rivers Country Club wedding next summer! It is going to be a dream! And I feel lucky that I’ll get to see them again before then- just you wait- we’ve got plans for another iconic Richmond shoot this fall! You’ll see a lot of them around here 🙂
