Yorktown Waterfront Backyard Wedding Styled Shoot | Part 1 | Yorktown Wedding Photographer

Well my friends, this shoot has been in the works for a long, long time. For years now I’ve envisioned putting together my own styled shoot- from vision board to reality- that would capture a little bit more of my story, my family, my brand, and my style. I wanted to incorporate the circle arch my grandpa built for my sister’s wedding, and my hometown, and my parent’s new waterfront home, and all my favorite colors and designs.  The couple modeling as bride and groom (Mel and Dan) actually got engaged in my parent’s backyard just last summer! They were married just over 6 months ago and I got to be their wedding photographer and since they’ve become sweet friends. So I loved bringing them back to where she said “YES!” and capturing the feeling of that day through this gorgeous shoot!

Shoutout to the dream team that made my vision a reality:

Day of Planning and Styling: Events by Jacklyn
Hair: Hair by Emily Dami‘s Miranda
Makeup: Beauty by Tiffany Inc.
Florals: Aleen Floral Design
Linens and Rentals: Waterford Event Rentals
Tableware: The Collection by Courtney
Calligraphy: Lovely Scripture
Bride: Mel Scherbenske
Groom: Dan Scherbenske
Behind-the-scenes helping hands: Alvin, my mom, dad, and sweet friend Anna Disharoon Photography!

To be pictured in Part 2:

Cake: Rachel Bakes
Ice Cream: Lolly’s Creamery

All in all, it was so meaningful to get to create this shoot alongside so many talented people. I was in photographer heaven all day!

Love,

Sarah

PS- Part 2 (complete with a row boat and ice cream!) is coming soon!
