Meet Stephanie and Brian!
When Stephanie told me a few months back that she and Brian had been working hard to fit back into their wedding clothes and were dying to do a shoot for their 10 year anniversary I was super impressed and over the moon excited, to say the least. So she put on her dress again and he got all dapper with his bow tie and suit and we had the best evening soaking up all the color of the Norfolk Neon District before their anniversary date at The Grilled Cheese Bistro!
These two grew up 15 minutes from each other and ran in all the same circles but never met until years later. They were introduced by mutual friends and now here they are, 10 years and 2 kids later. They have the cutest inside jokes that keep them belly laughing and flirting. Just spending an hour or so together, it was clear to me that they are best friends- that in each other they’ve found true companionship and love- and it’s honestly the sweetest thing to witness. They celebrate each other’s quirks and laugh over the simplest things and aren’t afraid to be a little different- from her tanzanite ring and his cherry socks to their location choice for this shoot- they celebrate what sets them apart!
If you learn nothing at all this post, let this be your takeaway: I love COLOR! Give me murals and ice cream parlors over parks and fountains any day!
