Rachel & Ben {Norfolk Engagement Session}

Meet Rachel and Ben!

I’ve known Ben for years now.  He was one of the first people to support me when I went overseas in 2016, and when I was a youth intern back in 2014 he let us bring 20+ youth into his house for early morning Bible studies all summer long.  For anyone who knows Ben, you know that behind the big beard and beer-filled Instagram, lies a really soft heart, and that’s where Rachel comes in. 

She caught his eye early on, but they kept a steady friendship for years before he made a move.  I asked about their first date and there were many giggles exchanged because it seems like one of those classic “which first date?” stories.  Eventually they agreed that O’Connor’s (where we met for the first part of their engagement session) was the more “official” first date and it was after that date that they became inseparable.

Guys, I can’t say often enough how much fun it was to capture these two.  They treasure each other, as you can tell from the photos, and their love is playful and sweet.  I cannot wait to capture their wedding this winter!
