Meet Kayla and Alec!
I love it when I get to capture clients through the years! Kayla’s family has dubbed me the family photographer and I have had the honor of capturing her senior photos, her brother’s senior photos, their family photos, and now her engagement photos! Her mom called me up the day after she said yes and we got their session on the calendar! It’s always a joy to reunite with them- this family is gold!
Kayla and Alec met while working at Regal so when she and I were brainstorming a location that would be unique to their story, I quickly fell in love with the idea of taking them back to the place where it all started! We got popcorn and drinks, talked all things Disney, and had a blast! As we walked around City Center for the second half of their shoot, I asked them what they were most excited about for marriage. They smiled just thinking about it and quickly decided that ditching long-distance and getting to finally live and do life together was top of the list! Between school, military moves for both of them, and Kayla’s working for Disney for a while, they’ve been long distance their entire 5 year relationship! We were lucky to squeeze this session in in a 3 day window that Kayla was in Virginia before her next move out west!
It was a hot summer day, but these two didn’t mind and were down for all my crazy ideas. They goofed off together the whole time and the resulting photos capture them perfectly! Enjoy some of my favorites from their Regal movie theater and City Center engagement session!
