Meet Emily & Stephen!
This was such a fun shoot for me, because Stephen is my high school bestie’s little brother, and was good friends with my sister for years. When his inquiry came into my inbox, in the section where I ask people how they found me he wrote “middle school Bible study” and that just made me smile. From middle school Bible study, to high school marching band, and now he’s getting married! Back in the day I did his senior photos (and all of his siblings senior photos, actually) and now I’ll get to be his wedding photographer! I love meeting new couples, but reconnecting with old friends and getting to capture their memories is just the best and such an honor. So excited for the love and friendship these two have found in each other and cannot wait to capture their wedding day!
One thing that really impressed me about Emily and Stephen is how down they were to roll with all the crazy as we tried to schedule this shoot time and time again. Summer storm after summer storm kept cancelling our dates until finally we just said “what the heck!” and set a date: rain or shine! Sure enough, Saturday was all rain but these two were nothing but smiles! We porch and tree hopped at Fort Monroe before breaking out the umbrellas and eventually giving in completely with 10 minutes of downpour photos on the beach! By the end we were soaking wet- talk about a bonding experience and an engagement session to remember!
