Kailie slid into my DM’s a few months ago on the hunt for the perfect photographer to satisfy her husband’s high standards (Alex is an amazing photographer) and capture their baby when she came. I was so flattered! It was a delight to follow along for the last few months of her pregnancy in eager anticipation of baby Caroline! Caroline came April 23rd and just a week later I got to capture them in their home as a family of 3!
It is truly sacred the places and spaces I’m allowed into simply because I have a camera. To be the only one watching when he gets down on one knee and she says yes, to get to stand with brides before they go down the aisle, and enter into your home when you’re still just figuring out life as a family of 3…I am honored to be allowed into such intimate and defining moments in my client’s lives.
I get asked all the time if I do family photography. I’ve gone through seasons where it was all I did and seasons where the answer was ‘no’, but now I have a new answer: Just ask. Depending on my availability, I would love to capture your family. So just ask! Some months are busier than others as I’m doing engagement sessions and prepping for weddings and some months are a little slower and lifestyle family or newborn sessions are totally doable. I would be honored to capture moments like these for your family!
