Weekend Adventures {Nashville}

My hubby Alvin surprised me at the beginning of the semester by signing up for a class that would take us to Nashville for a weekend, specifically so I would be able to visit my good friend Ashley!  I audited the class with him but snuck away for the better half of Saturday to spend time with her.

Ashley and I have known each other through middle school band, high school crushes, and college ups and downs.  She’s an ESL teacher to refugee kiddos in the public school system and her stories and love for them inspires me so much.

She gave me a pretty thorough tour of the city in just a few hours together!  We went to Opryland, which is a fabulous Gaylord hotel with different “courtyards” (more like jungles!) to wander through.  Then we walked across the pedestrian bridge and down to Broadway for an awesome view of the city.  We wrapped up the day with some famous Jeni’s ice cream (which let me tell you- it was ah-ma-zing!).  All in all it was so sweet to have time to catch up on life and adventure together!

Enjoy some photos from Orpyland and the pedestrian bridge!

Love,

Sarah
