Meet Mr. and Mrs. J!
When M told me they were getting married in Occoquan in October I was so excited! Occoquan is the quaintest little Northern Virginia town along the river with gorgeous shop fronts, a boardwalk, and townhomes on one side, and a beautiful bridge, park, and waterfall (!!!) on the other. To say I was dying over all the picture-perfect options we had for our portrait time would be an understatement. And NoVA in the fall is just my favorite! Perfect temperatures, overcast skies, and beautiful trees made this day extra gorgeous!
M and J had a super intimate tea room ceremony and reception with 28 of their closest family and friends at The Pink Bicycle Tea Room and then we had an hour and a half to wander the town and bask in their newlywed bliss! I never get that much portrait time all at once on a wedding day so I felt so spoiled!
We explored all Occoquan had to offer, got many congratulations from Trick-or-Treaters there for a Halloween Festival, and finished the time in an extra special way. We had just got up to a second story porch for some portraits when a guitarist in a restaurant patio below us started singing. I had them take a corner of the porch to themselves for a super sweet and memorable “first dance.” It was a precious way to end the day!
Enjoy my favorites from M and J’s wedding day!
